Mini Mansions

You can have it all and not spend it all, the million dollar look priced in your neighborhood.

Owning a home is the American Dream. A home is a reflection of you, your tastes and your lifestyle. We all love homes that are unique, creative and exciting. Today we are going to take a closer look at ways to create that million dollar look, without the million dollar price tag. I like to call them Mini-Mansions. Homes 1,400 to 3,000 sq. ft. which showcase all the features, details and appointments usually seen in homes several times their size.

What makes a typical floorplan change into a work of art? I believe it is a home which is designed as a reflection of the unique personality and lifestyle of the homeowner. Design must go beyond the spatial layout of rooms and windows. It explores the possibilities of every space, wall, corner, and ceiling. It takes an inventive and ingenious thought process, but in the end you have turned an average home into something extraordinary.

Designing a large home with all the amenities and personal flare is certainly easier than designing a small home with those same appointments. The homes you are about to see, incorporate features such as butler's pantries, morning kitchens, laundry chutes, double sided entertainment centers, trick doors, built-ins and much more....and these homes are all affordable!

When I began contemplating building a new home for myself, I found myself in the same situation as many homebuyers. I needed affordability, but I wanted a home that was "one of a kind", one which reflected my lifestyle, personal interests and personality.

As a third generation building contractor myself, I stood beside my grandfather and watched him design innovative homes with affordability in mind. He started building homes in Central Florida in the 1950's emphasizing affordability. Some of his unique designs are still local landmarks and his favorite saying, "We have a sharp pencil" can still be seen on our company billboard. With almost 4,000 homes built in Central Florida and dozens of design awards, I set out to utilize our design archives of 50 years to meet the challenge of designing and building homes which I call "Mini Mansions".
